PHILADELPHIA (May 2, 2024) – The City of Philadelphia is thrilled to welcome back 40,000 runners to the 45th annual Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run this Sunday, May 5th. The iconic 10-mile race, now at total capacity for the first time since the pandemic, will see runners traverse the heart of Philadelphia along Broad Street.

To further strengthen the city's government and foster a more connected and collaborative work environment, Mayor Parker announced a transition to full-time, in-office work for all city employees, effective July 15, 2024.
