2. The Pelican Club (Rittenhouse Square)
Stephen Starr is adding another heavy hitter to Rittenhouse Square. Taking over the massive space at 225 S. 18th Street, The Pelican Club is slated to open in October 2026. The upscale restaurant is expected to feature a modern Greek and Mediterranean-inspired menu, adding to the neighborhood's booming culinary district.
3. Habibi Supper Club (East Passyunk)
East Passyunk Avenue is getting a vibrant new addition with Habibi Supper Club. Scheduled for an October 2026 opening, the independent restaurant at 1515 Passyunk Avenue will serve American fare in a casual, family-friendly format.
4. Goodness Bowls (Paoli)
The Main Line is getting a healthy boost this month. Goodness Bowls celebrates its Paoli grand opening with free açaí bowls on Saturday, October 17. The first 50 guests in line at 9:00 a.m. who sign up for the rewards program will score a free signature Avalon Bowl.
5. Defiant Coffee Co.
Local coffee entrepreneur Nikisha Bailey and philanthropist Natalie Carless have officially launched their new venture. Step inside Defiant Coffee Co., a new brand built on culture and equity, which bypasses corporate supply chains to source beans directly from marginalized farmers across the Caribbean and the African diaspora.
