VENTNOR, NJ - In 2016, Vanessa Wong opened Fishtown Social, a natural wine shop and bar that has seen great success in a vast area of Philadelphia with growth and development. Now, she’s expanding on that success and looking towards the Jersey Shore for her next two ventures.
ALLENTOWN, PA - If you have a family, or are planning to visit this city for the first time, there are many things to do in Allentown. This eastern Pennsylvanian city is home to the Liberty Bell Museum, which contains a full-size replica of the famous bell and a history mural. You can also check out the Allentown Art Museum, which showcases Renaissance and modern American art. There's also America On Wheels Museum, which features vintage automobiles. The city also boasts Coca-Cola Park, home of the IronPigs Minor League Baseball team.
PHILADELPHIA - Super Loa, a CBD dispensary located in Bala Cynwyd, PA, is preparing to open its second location – this one inside of ShopRite of Warminster, located at 942 W. Street Road. The new outpost will open on Monday, July 11th at 11 a.m. with a special giveaway, as Owner Tamara Ali Bey will give the first 100 customers through the door a complimentary CBD Relax and Calm gummy and an HHC (Hexahydrocannabinol) gummy with any purchase.
PHILADELPHIA - After opening its first location outside Peddler's Village in Lahaska, the Texas-style BBQ joint has expanded to Doylestown. The second location on Main Street Marketplace will feature a rotating menu that offers takeout and delivery. PHILADELPHIA - As first reported by PhillyBite Magazine - Chopt Creative Salad Co. has officially announced the opening of its newest restaurant debuting in Marlton, New Jersey. The fast-casual company will open its doors to customers on Thursday, July 14 at 10:30 am. In celebration of the grand opening, Chopt will celebrate Chopt Gives Day on Wednesday, July 13 from 11:30 am-2 pm and 5 pm-7:30 pm. Chopt is partnering with a local charity, Food Bank of South Jersey, to donate 100% of sales.
MEDIA, PA - The recent ban on single-use plastic bags in the Media Borough will come into effect in July 2023. While some businesses are already following the new ordinance, others are not. Businesses that do not comply will be given a written warning and fines ranging from $50 to $300 per reported offense. As an alternative, businesses can provide reusable bags for customers or charge a 10-cent surcharge. This ordinance is supported by Borough Councilmember Mark Paikoff, who says it is a good idea to reduce waste.
