Philadelphia, PA - Earlier this year, Action Wellness announced they are bringing back their annual glamorous fundraising event, Glamsino Royale. For the first time, Glamsino will be held at the Crystal Tea Room on September 29, 2022, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests can expect casino games, dancing, music by DJ Sharyn Stone, hors d’oeuvres provided by Finley Catering, a signature cocktail, 1920s-themed decor, and performances from GayBINGO's Bingo Verifying Divas. KING of PRUSSIA - The King of Prussia Tavern, formally known as the KOP Tavern, is opening on Tuesday, September 13th, with a new chef, a new menu, and a new game room under the direction of Executive Chef Daniel Waller. Founders Kevin Finn and Mark Edelson, as well as restaurateur Kevin Davies, is intimately aware of the challenges faced by those who suffer from childhood cancer. Mark Edelson's wife is a pediatric oncologist and completed her fellowship at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC. During that time, she worked under the guidance of Dr. Greg Reaman, who served as the inaugural Chairman of the Children's Oncology Group.
PHILADELPHIA - In a recent announcement, Dave's Hot Chicken announced plans to expand into Philadelphia. This expansion will take the popular street food concept to Philadelphia and the surrounding counties. The expansion will include eight locations. Two franchises are expected to open in the next two years, while four more locations will follow through 2025.
PENN STATE - In the Ohio vs. Penn State game, the Ohio Bobcats were easily defeated by the Nittany Lions 46-10. Even though Penn State jumped out to a 26-7 halftime lead, the Nittany Lions answered with a strong defensive effort. Penn State prevented Ohio from crossing midfield just three times in the game. In addition, Ohio's running game didn't produce as much as it had in recent years. Nick Singleton ran for 179 yards on ten carries, and Drew Allar completed two touchdown passes.
BROOMALL, PA - Amazon Fresh is expanding its grocery store concept by opening a new store in Broomall, Pa., which uses "Just Walk Out" technology to eliminate the checkout line and save time for customers. The technology uses cameras and artificial intelligence to keep track of shoppers as they shop and charge them automatically when they leave. The Broomall location will be Amazon Fresh's second in Pennsylvania, following one in Warrington in Bucks County.
PHILADELPHIA - Kismet Bagels, a local favorite since 2020, and Pat’s King of Steaks, a beloved local brand since 1930, as well as the originator of the Philly cheesesteak, are teaming up for a “Cheesesteak Bialy” collaboration on Tuesday, September 13th beginning at 10 a.m. at Pat’s Steaks located at 1237 East Passyunk Avenue.

PHILADELPHIA - Tapster, a Chicago-based self-service bar concept, is moving to Philadelphia. The restaurant will open its Philadelphia outpost early next year in a 3,600-square-foot space at 110-16 South 16th Street. The new location is part of Tapster's planned national expansion. The company currently has locations in Chicago, Seattle, Cleveland, and Austin.
