PHILADELPHIA - A high school reunion in Philadelphia is disrupted after a tree falls onto people. The tree landed in the section of the food court reserved for the reunion. According to the Philadelphia Fire Department, eight people were transported to area hospitals. The incident occurred during the annual celebration for West Philadelphia High School graduates. The Philadelphia Fire Department confirmed that the incident had no serious injuries.
PHILADELPHIA - Pennsylvania's new minimum wage and tip regulations take effect on Friday (AUG 5th, 2022). If you're working for a restaurant, bar, or nightclub, you may be wondering whether this is a good time to update your pay scale. These regulations will help protect tipped workers, who are often paid less than minimum wage. Previously, employers could pay tipped workers as little as $2.83 an hour, but new regulations will raise the tip threshold from $30 a month to $135 a month.

The Knight Foundation supports the program and will award grants ranging from $25,000 to $75,000 for successful business concepts.
PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation hosted their 6th annual Sandy Sprint Sea Isle City Walk/Run on Saturday, July 23, 2022. With over 475 participants, they raised over $55,000 to help spread awareness of ovarian cancer and funds to advance research.
HARRISBURG - In February, Gov. Tom Wolf reintroduced his proposal to spend $2,000 in checks for low-income families. The proposal, originally introduced in February, was rejected by Republicans during the budget process after being funded by $2 billion in federal ARPA funds. The new proposal would send these checks directly to people who qualify. In addition, it would help people in need who are currently suffering from poverty or other financial hardships.
