NEW JERSEY - To secure free parking in Wildwood, NJ, aim for areas southwest of 25th and New Jersey Avenues. The Wildwoods also provide paid parking throughout its townships in addition to a few free beach lots, from May 15 through September 30 between 9 am and midnight from 9 am onwards until 12 midnight; payment can be made in coins or via ParkMobile.
To avoid paying for parking, we advise arriving early. When arriving, residential areas offer less crowded spots compared to areas closer to the boardwalk. Furthermore, certain streets in the area require special permits in order to park on either the side or curb line - these permits can be obtained from the City Clerk's Office.
One of the top attractions in Wildwood, NJ, is its world-famous Wildwood Boardwalk. Dubbed America's last "really great honky-tonk boardwalk at the shore," this fantastic display of lights, colors, and sounds will delight all who visit this captivating destination.
Wildwood's boardwalk boasts an abundance of family-friendly rides and shops, most notably Morey's Piers. Mariner's Pier is home to classic boardwalk rides like carousels and teacups, while Surfside Pier offers kiddie rides for pint-sized patrons. If you want more intense thrills, then head over to Adventure Pier, where there are fast and exciting roller coasters! Unfortunately, the closer you get to the boardwalk, the more you will pay for parking. However, if you are willing to do some walking, you can usually find free spots a few blocks away on residential streets.
