PENNSYLVANIA - For a night of fun, check out some of Pennsylvania's best college bars. Jake's Bar at West Chester University, Hemingway's Cafe at the University of Pittsburgh, City Tap House in University City Philadelphia, and The Bog at the University of Scranton. Whether you're in the mood for a casual drink or a more energetic night, these bars and clubs will deliver the goods.

Jake's Bar - West Chester University

Jake's Bar is the quintessential college bar, with a unique atmosphere and a reputation for being a rough joint. The bar is known for its shuffleboard and its rowdy crowd of college students. The bar's draft beer selection includes Miller High Life, Miller Light, Bud Light, and the Sierra Nevada. It also has a cheap two-buck glass of wine for $2. Beer is only available at the bar, but you can also purchase six packs of beer. Jake's Bar - West Chester University may not be the most luxurious bar, but it's a great place to relax and make new friends. Its tiny space is crammed with people. The only seating is outside, and the space is about 60' x 20'. Shuffleboard is being played in the back, and the bartenders pour the beer in the front.

Hemingway's Cafe –University of Pittsburgh

Hemingway's Café is a great place to spend a couple of hours for lunch or dinner. Then, come nighttime, it's transformed into a lively bar. Its draft special attracts a crowd daily and fills up quickly most nights. The menu is affordable and serves good bar food. The bar is primarily a bar, and during the academic year, it is full of Pitt students. The bar's menu is written in a primitive version of Microsoft Word and contains typical bar food. A plethora of beer is served on tap, and there's live music most nights.

City Tap House – University City Philadelphia

With a selection of 60+ craft brews and a large outdoor terrace, City Tap House - University City Philadelphia is one of Pennsylvania's top college bars. This New American tavern is also known for serving brick-oven pizzas and an extensive wine list. In addition, they offer live music on the weekends. The City Tap House is a Philadelphia institution featuring one of the largest collections of microbrews in the city. It also features a large menu of pub-style food with a seasonal focus. You can order a full meal here or try their famous flatbreads. They are open all day and even serve a great brunch on weekends. The bar also offers craft cocktails, wine, and spirits, so you can make an evening of it.

The Bog - University of Scranton

One of the oldest universities in Pennsylvania, the University of Scranton has been a staple of the city for over a century. This college bar is located on the university's campus and offers good drinks and live entertainment. While it doesn't have a happy hour, you can find up to 34 different varieties of beer on tap. It even has a trivia night on Thursdays. This Scranton bar has a variety of alcoholic beverages, including a jukebox that plays classic hits. It also has sixteen different types of beer, a wide variety of sports packages, and package deals for sports nights.

Zeno's – State College

If international brews and pub fare are your things, this Campus-area tavern is a good choice. It also hosts live music. Its ambiance is casual, so you can expect an intimate atmosphere. A large beer selection makes Zeno's an excellent choice for a night out with friends. The bar has become a staple of the State College bar scene. It was named one of the 10 best college bars by PhillyBite Magazine.  Its beer selection and live entertainment make it a must-visit destination for State College students and locals alike. The pub is one of State College's favorite places for beer and music. It features live music every day of the week, twelve hours of happy hour, and 24 beers on tap. The pub is also great for sports fans, as it offers a TV/sports package. The food is excellent, and the drinks are very affordable.
