PHILADELPHIA, PA - Philadelphia Parks & Recreation announced the City’s 90+ spray grounds opening, and splash pads will turn on for the summer season. The spray grounds will open seven days a week. They will be open between Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day, weather dependent.

This year will also include opening a few new spray areas, thanks to the City’s Rebuild initiative and recently completed Parks & Recreation capital projects.
Recently opened or renovated spray grounds:
- Capitolo Playground (Rebuild)
- Granahan Playground
- Hayes Recreation Center (Rebuild)
- McCreesh Playground
- Roosevelt Playground
Coming this summer:
- Carmella Playground
- Columbus Square
- Gifford Playground (Rebuild)
- Miles Mack Playground (Rebuild)
- 8th & Diamond Playground (Rebuild and partners)
Commissioner Kathryn Ott Lovell joined City Councilmember Cherelle Parker at the Finley Recreation yesterday to mark the start of spray ground season.
