Garces Debuts Spanish Wine Shop with Opening of Tinto Pintxo in Rittenhouse
Tinto Pintxo is now open at 114 S. 20th Street, next to Village Whiskey. This new Spanish wine shop currently features 70+ wine selections by the bottle to go, tasting flights, rare/collectible gems, discounted bundles, and even a new wine club. When indoor dining returns at 50% capacity, the kitchen will open and bring with it an exciting new menu focusing on pintxos, which are bites from northern Spain notably the Basque region. Tinto's wine shop will remain open as well when indoor dining begins. While Garces and Tinto fans wait for indoor dining, pair your Spanish wine selections with food from Tinto with a special preview food package available on the Garces Trading Company website for only $25 per person.
The special new package features a chef's selection of bites from the new menu that can be picked up from the Garces Trading Company ghost kitchen at The Olde Bar in Old City, or that can be delivered. Tinto Pintxo wine shop is currently open seven days a week, from Noon to 9:00 pm. For more about the wine selections and to place your wine order for pick-up at Tinto Pintxo, visit philadelphia.tintorestaurant.com. For Village Whiskey fans, the wait will soon be over as Village Whiskey will reopen in February with some exciting surprises - stay tuned.
"I'm excited to bring a traditional pintxos experience to the Rittenhouse neighborhood," said Chef Jose Garces. "Our team took advantage of being closed for indoor dining to build out our new Wine shop, which features hard-to-find bottles at affordable prices. From a culinary perspective, we have developed a traditional Pintxos menu to match the casual vibe. Our hope is that our neighbors pop by to grab a bottle of wine and some snacks or a light dinner that is affordable and pairs with the wine sold in our new wine shop or pop in and share a bottle with friends or your partner."
Tinto is back open for the first time since the pandemic and this time around it pivots as Tinto Pintxo with a unique Spanish wine bottle shop with many rare gems you can't buy at state stores or anywhere else locally. There are over 70 selections smartly priced and available to go and for pick-up - with additional selections being updated weekly. Look for wines by the bottle, tasting flights, discounted bundles, wine club, and rare/collectible wines not available anywhere else in Philadelphia. All wine must be picked up from the Tinto Pintxo physical space. No delivery for wine is available at this time.
The kitchen at Tinto Pintxo will open when dining reaches 50% capacity - which is anticipated in early to mid-March. However, Garces fans can get a first exclusive taste of the new menu with a special Tinto Pintxo sneak peek package of chef's selections on the Garces Trading Company virtual marketplace, ghost kitchen, and kitchen hub platform. This is available at least through mid-February and features highlights from the forthcoming new menu that will be served at Tinto Pintxo. The package can be picked up at The Olde Bar, at 125 Walnut Street, which is the Garces hub and main ghost kitchen currently for Amada, The Olde Bar, Village Whiskey, Tinto, Garces Catering, and more.
The indoor menu with updated selections will be shared when indoor dining returns. In the meantime, Tinto Pintxo is open for wine lovers Monday through Sunday daily, from Noon to 9:00 pm. For more information and wine lists, visit philadelphia.tintorestaurant.com or call 215-665-9150.
