Philadelphia, PA – Don Argott and Sheena Joyce, the filmmaking duo behind some of the most beloved Philadelphia-based films, are releasing their newest documentary, Kelce, on Amazon Prime Video on September 12. The film is an intimate look into the life of Eagles captain Jason Kelce, his family, and his relationship with the city of Philadelphia.
Kelce is executive-produced by former Eagle great Connor Barwin and co-produced by The Citizen’s co-founder Larry Platt. It's a love story between a team and a city, Philadelphia and Jason Kelce, Jason and his wife Kylie, and Travis Kelce and Jason.
The couple met in the early 2000s when Joyce was working as the assistant to Sharon Pinkenson at the Greater Philadelphia Film Office. Argott had graduated from The Art Institute in 1995 and went into business with a classmate doing commercial film projects. After his business partner moved to L.A., Argott stayed in Philly to pursue more creative projects. His passion for music led him to create Pornosonic, a punk rock band with Jarred Alterman (who later became director of photography on Kelce) and Rob Giglio (who works at NFL Films).
Argott's enthusiasm for creating new projects inspired him to create Kelce after seeing posters around town for Paul Green School of Rock Music (now Paul Green Rock Academy). This Philly love story will be an instant classic when it premieres on Amazon Prime Video on September 12th.
