PHILADELPHIA, PA - Philadelphia's East Passyunk Avenue is about to get even more vibrant with the unveiling of the Rainbow Gate, a new public art installation by renowned artist David Guinn. The community is invited to the grand opening reception on Wednesday, May 22nd, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mifflin Triangle (1845 EPA).
The Rainbow Gate, a multi-media installation, symbolizes life's journey and the transformative power of positivity. Guinn, a Philadelphia native with an international portfolio, expresses his excitement for the project: "This painting is my statement about the journey of life...With courage, positive transformation is possible."
Elaine Johnson, EPABID Board Secretary and Owner of Frame Fatale expressed her pride in East Passyunk being the home for this iconic piece, emphasizing Guinn's significance as both an international mural artist and a cherished community member.
The grand opening promises a festive evening with light refreshments from P'unk Burger and FUEL and live music from Fred S. Acoustic. Following the reception, an after-party at Nutmeg Bar & Market (1835 E Passyunk Ave) will offer small bites and an assortment of zero-proof concoctions, wine, and beer at happy hour prices.
