PHILADELPHIA - Philly PR Girl’s 7th annual charity tailgating event, Turkey Day Tailgate, took place on October 30, 2022, before the Eagles vs. Steelers game. Guests experienced the ultimate tailgating event in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence (BBBSI). This year the event raised $6,500 to help the nonprofit continue to deliver mentoring programs that ignite the power and promise of youth in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.
PHILADELPHIA - Kismet Bagels, which began as an idea during Covid-19 and became an online popup shop in 2020, opened its first brick & mortar location in Fishtown in April of this year. Now, husband-and-wife owners Jacob and Alexandra Cohen are expanding their footprint in Philadelphia. With their bialy stall already in the works at the Reading Terminal Market, eyeing a December opening, the entrepreneurs are also preparing to open their second brick & mortar – this one located at 1700 Sansom Street in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse neighborhood. The Cohens are eyeing an early December opening.
PHILADEPHIA - In November of 2020, Stanford Ponson, owner of Old City Canning Co., opened The Chandlery Scent Studio – a 700-square foot space filled with everything from artisan candles to scented sprays, soaps, gifts, and accessories from local artisans. But after major staffing shortages and pandemic-related supply chain issues, Ponson was forced to close the shop in January 2022. Now, just in time for the holiday shopping season, The Chandlery is reopening at 1533 South Street, with an official opening date of Friday, November 11th.
