PHILADELPHIA - Urban Farmer, Philadelphia’s “rustic chic” modern American steakhouse, is partnering with Sly Fox Brewing Company to ring in the changing of the seasons with a very special dinner celebrating Oktoberfest. As a spiritual successor of Urban Farmer’s ongoing Beer-BQ series, the outdoor beer jubilee will feature beer-infused dishes, live music, yard games, and more – on Thursday, September 22nd, from 4 pm to 8 pm.


FLORIDA - As Tropical Storm Ian churns in the Caribbean, Florida have declared an emergency.  As the storm nears the state's panhandle and west coast, it is expected to strengthen into a major hurricane. Hurricane Ian's path is expected to affect all 67 counties in the Sunshine State.


PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia’s newest restaurant is just about ready to open its doors, as Alexandra Holt is set to open her Roxanne BYOB at 912 Christian Street. In addition to operating for dinner service, Roxanne will be open sporadically during the day for pastry service.


PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Museum of Art's union has nearly 200 members and is part of AFSCME Local 397. It is also part of District Council 47. Members of the union say that the management has violated federal law by paying workers wages and benefits below the national average and denying them the opportunity to support their families.


PHILADELPHIA - According to a study by the Sacramento Bee, Chevy and Ford's full-size trucks are the most-stolen vehicles in the U.S. in 2023. However, these vehicles are older, and many of them lack modern technology. California Highway Patrol officers interviewed by the newspaper said that older vehicles with turnkey ignition systems are more appealing to thieves.


CUBA - Tropical Storm Ian is tracking northwest at 12 mph and is 160 miles from the Cayman Islands. It is forecast to bring heavy rain, flooding, and storm surge to the Cayman Islands and Jamaica.  The storm will rapidly intensify overnight as it crosses the warm waters of the Caribbean. It has maximum sustained winds of 45 mph.
