Philadelphia, PA – Philly AIDS Thrift is pleased to provide $300,035 this spring to 27 organizations and programs dedicated to HIV prevention, care, and support for people living with HIV/AIDS in the Delaware Valley.
Philadelphia's largest thrift store and nonprofit turned yesterday's treasure into $3,691,813 over the organization's 16 years of operation to support Philadelphia's regional organizations on the front lines of the fight against HIV/AIDS. This support is more critical than ever as nonprofits in Philadelphia and across the country have faced financial hardship during the ongoing global pandemic. The annual Philly AIDS Thrift grant program began in 2014 to serve the community and has continued throughout the COVID crisis.
"Philly AIDS Thrift staff, volunteers, and board of directors cannot be more honored than exceeding our previous maximum of dollars awarded in a single RFP and our total of $3.6 million awarded.
