PHILADEPHIA - Philadelphia plans to require vaccine proof for indoor dining establishments in response to the sharp increase in COVID cases across the city. The city's public health director said the decision is necessary to prevent closing all of its indoor dining establishments. However, it will also make it more difficult for businesses to stay in business.

Philadelphia has announced a new requirement for proof of vaccination for people who work at food establishments, including restaurants and bars. The city is considering several other strategies to deal with the increasing number of COVID-19 cases. For now, if you're planning on eating at an indoor dining establishment, as of Jan 3rd, 2022, you'll need to show proof of vaccination for the virus.

While it's a good idea to protect the community, it may not be the best option, however. The mandate could lead to the closure of many restaurants and bars in Philadelphia.

The health department has also encouraged the public to get vaccinated, wear masks, and stay home if they become ill. In addition to the proof of vaccine requirement, the Philadelphia Health Department also encourages its citizens to participate in a voluntary immunization program to prevent the spread of the virus.
