PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are searching for a driver who struck and killed a woman in the city's Feltonville neighborhood late Sunday night.
The fatal hit-and-run occurred at the intersection of C and Ruscomb streets.
According to police, officers responded to the scene late Sunday and found a 39-year-old woman who had been struck by a vehicle. The driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.
Medics pronounced the woman dead at the location. Her identity has not yet been released pending family notification.
The police department's Accident Investigation Division is handling the case and searching for the striking vehicle.
