PHILADELPHIA - Two legendary Philadelphia brands have teamed up for a collaboration that is, quite literally, "Pickled in Philly." Charles Jacquin et Cie, Inc. (Jacquin’s), the city's historic distiller since 1884, and Dietz & Watson, the beloved provider of premium deli meats and cheeses, are launching a new spirit: Dietz Dill Pickle Vodka.
The new product merges Jacquin's distilling expertise with the iconic, briny flavor of a Dietz & Watson deli pickle, creating a bold new spirit.
To celebrate the launch, the two companies are inviting Philadelphians to the ultimate Philly Pickle Party on a very appropriate day: National Pickle Day. The event will give consumers their first taste of the new vodka.
-
When: Friday, November 14, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM
-
Where: O’Jung’s Bar South Philly, located at 1625 S 2nd Street
The launch party will be the public's first chance to try the vodka, which will be featured in special pickle-themed cocktails and food items from the team at O’Jung’s (known for the viral Caesar Salad Martini). The event will also include pickle-themed activations and giveaways.
The collaboration brings together two of the city's most long-standing, family-owned businesses. Jacquin’s, founded in 1884 and based in Kensington, is America’s Oldest Cordial Producer, known for brands like Jacquin's Rock & Rye and Pennsylvania Dutch Cream Liqueurs.
Dietz & Watson, founded in 1939, remains a family-owned and operated company, now in its fourth generation. Headquartered in Philadelphia, the company is known for its "quality above all else" commitment to premium deli meats and artisan cheeses.
