PHILADELPHIA – September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation hosts different activities to raise funds and awareness for research. Currently, there is no screening available for ovarian carcinoma. This makes awareness and prevention of the disease crucial. Ovarian Cancer is a common disease that affects 1 in 78 women. It is also the deadliest of all gynecological cancers. The foundation aims to educate and raise awareness about the disease to one day live in a world free of ovarian cancer.

Wear Teal Day is Friday, September 1, 2020, and the SROCF wants everyone to participate to spread awareness. The foundation will be lighting up the Philadelphia skyline in teal during September. You can see the teal lights here:

September 8: Lincoln Finacial Field (Wells Fargo Center), Brandywine Realty FMC and Cira Center
September 9 - Benjamin Franklin Bridge
September 15 - PHL Airport and Symphony House Condominiums. Subaru of America
