Huli is the secret sauce of this summer. It was inspired by Chef Kiki's childhood home in Hawai'i Kai, an Honolulu suburb. Poi Dog's Huli Huli Sauce is a blend of memories from her childhood. It contains sweet pineapple, fragrant Chinese five spice, and savory miso. Huli means 'turn' in Hawaiian. "Huli Huli," on the other hand, refers to the cooking method for Huli Huli Chicken using an open flame. Poi Dog Huli Huli Sauce is used to baste chicken and add a sweet, savory flavor to mushrooms, vegetables, and burgers.
