PHILADELPHIA - Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Delaware's longest-running waterfront hotspot of dining and dancing is celebrating two decades.  Cavanaugh’s River Deck announces its 20th Anniversary Season with a full lineup of old and modern traditions, summer drinks and food, top DJs, and new Sunday-themed brunches.

Cavanaugh River Deck

Cavanaugh River Deck's story is about two ex-coworkers who rose through the ranks to become business partners. This is also a fascinating study of the history and development of the Philadelphia waterfront. Before Spruce St Harbor Park, Morgan's Pier and French Toast Bites were Rock Lobsters, Chart Houses, Dave and Buster's, and the Katmandu.

In 2003, the Chef and the General Manager of Katmandu bought the property together. Kenneth Hutchings, Patrick Pawlizcek, and Cavanaugh River Deck opened after Kenneth Hutchings & Patrick Pawlizcek shut down Kathmandu. In the same year and weeks apart, Moshulu reopened in its new home in the South. Both properties have been around for 20 years and have seen new attractions, restaurants, and bars opened in the interim.

Cavanaugh’s River Deck celebrates twenty years of business by presenting a summer line-up for June, July, and August.
