PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia 76ers were still practicing as they prepared for their Round 2 opponent in the NBA playoffs, whether it be the Boston Celtics or the Atlanta Hawks.

The health of injured star player Joel Embiid was a significant concern for the team as the playoffs progressed. The Sixers were playing wait-and-see regarding Embiid's status for Game 1 of the semifinals, but Tyrese Maxey discussed his offensive role for the team amid Embiid's injury.

The Sixers were confirmed to begin the second round of playoffs on Monday, regardless of the opponent and whether the Boston and Atlanta series went to at least six games.

Additionally, the Sixers became the first and only team to sweep their first-round series in the 2023 NBA playoffs, despite Embiid not being available for the final two games due to injury.
