PHILADEPHIA, PA - The Sugar Factory in Philadelphia will open at Midtown Village, taking over the space occupied by Porta. The restaurant will have 187 seats and a mezzanine bar with 62 seats. It will serve alcoholic smoking candy goblets, as well as a variety of desserts and cocktails. Although the original Porta closed because of a coronavirus outbreak, the restaurant still has three locations in New Jersey.

The menu at the Sugar Factory will be legendary. In addition to classic ice cream, it also features unique twists on the classic favorites. Its famous King Kong Sundae, for example, serves up to 12 people and is covered with gummy bears, caramel sauce, and fudge sauce. Unlike many other ice cream restaurants, the Sugar Factory also serves up a number of celebrity-designed drinks, including the Mamitas Hurricane by Mario Lopez, Travis Scott, and Brody Jenner.

The restaurant will also feature a candy shop, a bakery, and a gelato bar. The new location will open Sunday through Thursday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The hours of the new location will be 11 a.m. until midnight and 10 a.m. until 1 a.m. Saturday. The restaurant will remain open until late evening. It will also offer a DJ set and brunch specials.
