PHILADELPHIA, PA – An all plant-based menu featuring bold and subtle flavors is now open in Philadelphia. Indian Chaat Factory is a new virtual concept offered by local Indian food favorite Tiffin Indian Cuisine.
While relatively common throughout India, chaats are an unfamiliar offering here in the land of chicken tikka masala and saag paneer. The Tiffin twist on these savory dishes that are part meal and party snack? All plant-based ingredients, including yogurt, and predominantly gluten-free.
Tiffin Spins Off New INDIAN CHAAT FACTORY
Munish Narula, Tiffin’s founder, and CEO explained that Indian cuisine is as extensive and varied as the country of 1.3 billion people.
“As you travel throughout India, the regional languages, cultures, foods, and spices can be drastically different from one city or village to another. But chaats are a unifying tradition that all Indians agree on.”
With a menu developed by award-winning Chef Hari Nayak, Tiffin tests the concept in its Mt Airy and South Philadelphia locations before rolling it out to all 9 Tiffin locations.
“Summer is a great time to experience these amazing flavors that are light and healthy,” says Narula.
“We decided on an all plant-based menu after hearing from many of our customers that they want more options like this. We have some vegan and many vegetarian options on our Tiffin menu but wanted to
excite our Philadelphia fans with something new as everyone is out and about.
We knew Indian Chaat Factory would be a delicious way to provide the variety that people are looking for.”
Indian Chaat Factory currently has 14 menu items that represent the most famous street foods of the subcontinent and includes ingredients like fenugreek sprouts and quinoa
“We will be adding more items throughout the year plus changing up the preparation to add different sprouts, grains, vegetables, and fruit,” said Narula.
But while the concept, menu, and website are all-new, Tiffin regulars will navigate familiar territory with Chaat Factory’s online ordering portal, loyalty program, and offerings of carrying out and a 3-mile delivery radius with no service charge.
Indian Chaat Factory is open seven days a week from 11:30-10:00 Monday through Friday and Noon-10:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
