PHILADEPHIA - Sabrina’s Café, the locally grown group of popular breakfast, lunch, and brunch restaurants, is celebrating National Pancake Day, this Tuesday, February 16 from 9 – 11 am with a free short stack giveaway to industry workers, frontline heroes, and all who have been affected by the pandemic – at all open Sabrina’s Café’s locations.

Free Pancakes to COVID Heroes for National Pancake Day

“Our local communities are very important to the entire Sabrina’s team,” said Co-Owner Raquel DeAbreu. “In celebration of National Pancake Day, we’d like to say thank you to the hardworking hospitality industry, healthcare workers, and all who have been affected by COVID with a free stack of buttermilk pancakes on Tuesday.”

Sabrina’s Café invites those who have been affected by the pandemic to stop by any one of the three current open locations – Art Museum, Wynnewood, or Collingswood – on Tuesday, February 16 between 9 and 11 am for a complimentary short stack of pancakes, as space and supplies last, available for indoor and outdoor dining, as well as takeaway and delivery when ordering directly through Sabrina’s website.

Additionally, Sabrina’s University City location on Drexel’s campus will open Wednesday, February 17, and offer its free short stack giveaway from 9 – 11 am as a way to celebrate its opening and harken its return to the community.

Named the Best Pancakes in Pennsylvania by Taste of Home in 2020, Sabrina Café’s pancakes have been a staple on the menu since day one at the nearly-twenty-year-old restaurant.

Sabrina’s Café University City (227 N. 34th St.) is now the fourth location to re-open after having been closed since last March, outside of a six-week span in November, due to pandemic restrictions. Sabrina’s Café’s University City location will be open Monday through Sunday 8 am – 3 pm with limited indoor dining, outdoor seating, takeaway directly through Sabrina’s website, and delivery through DoorDash, Caviar, and UberEats. University City returns on Wednesday, February 17 with a robust breakfast served all day as well as sandwich and lunch menus consisting of fan favorites, vegetarian and gluten-free options, and a bevy of new tasty offerings, such as the Kick A** Burrito.

“We are thrilled to announce the re-opening of University City,” said Co-Owner Robert DeAbreu. “I’m so excited to welcome back our beloved West Philadelphia families and Drexel University students and faculty to the University City location.”
