PHILADELPHIA - Get ready to be inspired, Philadelphia!  On April 11th, former professional soccer player and World Cup champion Julie Ertz joins Girls on the Run Philadelphia (GOTRP) for their signature Sneaker Soirée. This powerful event celebrates female leadership and raises funds to empower local girls in grades 3-8.

Ertz, known for her athletic prowess and philanthropic work, will deliver the keynote speech. Other notable Philly sports figures will join her, including Sixers Play-by-Play Announcer Kate Scott and NBC Sports Philadelphia Host Amy Fadool.

This year's Sneaker Soirée promises an unforgettable evening of inspiration and community. Ditch the heels and rock your favorite sneakers with cocktail attire for the city's most comfortable party!

Ertz knows firsthand what it takes to set and achieve ambitious goals. She runs the Ertz Family Foundation with her husband, which focuses on empowering communities through faith, sports, and education. Their work includes the upcoming House of Hope in Philadelphia, a safe space for local youth.

Julie Ertz won't be the only star at the Sneaker Soirée. Local GOTR Coach Olive and program participant Elonne will share their heartfelt stories of GOTRP's impact on their lives.

GOTRP's program goes beyond running, teaching life skills, confidence, and positive relationship building. Last year's inaugural event raised over $140,000, allowing GOTR to reach even more girls in the city's most under-resourced neighborhoods. This year, they're ready to surpass that goal!

Don't miss the chance to be part of something special! Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available at www.gotrphiladelphia.org/sneaker-soiree. Your support empowers young girls to reach their full potential.
