West Philadelphia Locals Sell Out The Wells Fargo Center

But Dope Shows isn't finished making their mark on its hometown just yet. At the Birthday Bash, Dope Shows cofounders Stephen Piner and Jamir Shaw made their way to the Wells Fargo Center stage for a significant announcement. In May 2022, Piner and Shaw are expanding the Dope Shows brand and taking the plunge into producing by opening a record titled Dope Records.

"Selling out the Wells Fargo Center was something we've always worked towards… but we're not stopping there." says Dope Shows cofounders Stephen Piner and Jamir Shaw, "With the Dope Records label, we're pushing to provide exposure for local artists to get their music out there and marketed."

This groundbreaking announcement was followed by a performance by Dope Records' first signed artist Toure. This fellow West Philadelphia local performed his popular hits, ATRN, Federal, and Out West. When Piner and Shaw were introduced initially to Toure's music, they knew he was something special.

Dope Shows believes Toure has the talent to make it big but hasn't been given the right platform. With the Dope Records label, the duo aims to help grow young, local artists, such as Toure, into household names.
