SHILLINGTON BORO., Pa. — A tragic workplace accident in Shillington Borough turned fatal on Wednesday morning, resulting in the death of a 47-year-old man, according to the Berks County Coroner's Office.

Emergency dispatchers reported receiving a 911 call at 9:47 AM regarding an emergency at a local job site. First responders arrived to find that a male worker had fallen from scaffolding while on the job.
Following the severe fall, the individual was immediately transported to Reading Hospital to receive emergency medical care. Despite the prompt response, the man was officially pronounced dead shortly after his arrival, at 11:11 AM.
