Philadelphia, PA – New Ridge Brewing Co. is proud to announce the debut of their new beer festival, Taps Under the Towers, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Roxborough Pocket Park next to the brewery. The event will feature unlimited beer samples from 20 local breweries, live music from Mitchell Street Phillbillies, a whole pig roast from Green Meadow Farm, and other foods, including vegetarian options. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Friends of the Wissahickon.
The list of breweries is a who's who of the Philadelphia region beer scene, including Attic Brewing Company, Boardroom Spirits, Brewery ARS, Brewery Techne, Carbon Copy, Chestnut Hill Brewing Company, Dock Street Brewery, Human Robot, Iron Hill Brewery and more. Tickets are only $60 and include unlimited beer samples and a souvenir-tasting cup. This event is for those 21 and older only with identification.
"Taps Under the Towers is a beer fest that we have wanted to do since we opened a little over three years ago," said Eric Endrikat, Co-Owner. "We just wanted a good day for the neighborhood filled with amazing beers from our friends' breweries. This is the first beer fest in Roxborough, and we're excited to be the ones to bring it here!"
On top of sampling beers from 20+ local breweries, such as Kings Road Overnight Success West Coast IPA and Love City Deep Cut Pilsner, guests can also enjoy food for sale, including 1/2 pound roasted pork with bread for $12 falafel (gyro or plate) for $11 pasta salad for $3 grilled corn on the cob for $4 and more.
A portion of proceeds will be donated to Friends of the Wissahickon, dedicated to conserving, improving, and promoting well-being for over 1,800 acres of Wissahickon Valley Park. One lucky ticket buyer will receive a pair of tickets for Lincoln Mill Haunted House, which opens on September 23, 2023.
