PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Zoo is excited to announce that two new puma cubs have recently been rescued and welcomed into the zoo’s family. The male cubs are the first of their kind to be welcomed into the zoo in over a decade.

The cubs had previously lived in Washington state after being found as orphans in the wild. They are now adjusting to their new home and getting used to the sights, sounds, and smells of the Philadelphia Zoo.

“We are thrilled to be able to provide a safe and comfortable home for these two puma cubs,” said Dr. Richard Lattis, director of animal care at the Philadelphia Zoo. “Our staff is taking every precaution necessary to ensure that they are well taken care of and receive all of the love and attention they need.”

The public will soon have an opportunity to meet these two new additions as they will be on exhibit in a few weeks. In the meantime, visitors can stop by the zoo’s Big Cat Falls exhibit to learn more about pumas and other animals in this family.

The Philadelphia Zoo is dedicated to providing exceptional care for its animals and looks forward to introducing these two new members to its family.
