PHILADELPHIA - The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia (CFGP), a nonprofit community foundation dedicated to increasing Catholic philanthropy within the Greater Philadelphia Area, will celebrate its 10-year anniversary in July.

Sarah Hanley is the Chief Executive Officer of The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia. She said, "What began as a dream ten years ago has become a thriving non-profit foundation that helps people in the greater Philadelphia region and does so with love and intent of our Catholic faith." This past year, we've been highlighting people and organizations that have helped shape CFGP to what it is today. "I'm looking forward to what the next 10 years bring."

CFGP, founded on principles of transparency and responsibility and based on the teachings and life of Jesus Christ, is the premier resource for Catholic and Faith-based Philanthropy within the Philadelphia region. The CFGP helps donors manage their charitable funds, helping them select investment opportunities that fit their philanthropic objectives. Since 2013, CFGP distributed more than $20M in funds created. CFGP has steadily increased the number of funds it manages. Today, they manage 130 Catholic funds and 9,843 donors. CFGP also has a charitable fund network that has granted an additional $18M.

CFGP's nonprofit consulting services have expanded to include guidance and support for growing and sustaining Catholic parishes, organizations, and ministries. Their nonprofit consulting services raised more than 200M through this collaboration.

CFGP is partnered with Catholic Human Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. This organization is the largest faith-based provider in the area. Catholic Human Services' funding of critical community programs, including housing, homelessness, hunger, and food insecurity for seniors, at-risk youths, single parents, people with intellectual disabilities, families, and immigrants, is a way to amplify the mission of Catholic Human Services and help it achieve its goals.

Jim Amato is the Secretary of Catholic Human Services. He said, "The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia has been a leader of Catholic philanthropy for many years and a partner of Catholic Human Services." Their support and nonprofit expertise has been a blessing for the last 10 years. We can provide life-sustaining services for hundreds of thousands of Greater Philadelphia residents each year with their help.

The Foundation will celebrate its 10th anniversary by hosting a ten-day giving campaign from June 13-22, 2023. The 10-day campaign will feature daily Instagram giveaways of items and experiences from Philadelphia's most popular sports teams, restaurants and experiences. Employee volunteer and community events, in partnership with St. Cyprian Parish Food Bank and St. John's Hospice, as well as the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church are also planned to show gratitude in the Greater Philadelphia Community.
