PHILADELPHIA - CO-OP Restaurant & Bar will host Two Locals Brewing Company to celebrate National Beer Day.  The modern, airy restaurant is at 33rd Street and Chestnut Street in University City. This pop-up is in preparation for its first brick-and-mortar opening in uCity Square later in the year.

CO-OP Restaurant & Bar and Two Locals Brewing Celebrate National Beer Day

Two Locals' founding brothers, Richard and Mengistu, will pour their Nubian Brown ale at CO-OP Restaurant & Bar from 5-7 PM. This 5.7% ale has a flavor profile that includes freshly baked bread and nutty and medium-roasted coffee. Pay as you go; beer prices will be $7. CO-OP will have two locals on tap at its location. The Nubian Brown Ale will also be available until stocks run out. This is a welcome addition to the award-winning neighborhood brewery.

Richard and Mengistu signed their brewery leasing agreement last fall. They plan to build a nearly 6,000-square-foot 15-barrel brewhouse and taproom on the ground floor of the uCity Square Building, which will open later in the year.
