Boyz II Men to Perform at Hard Rock Cafe Philadelphia

To celebrate, the group Boyz II Men will perform an anniversary show on Wednesday, February 8. The group's four-time Grammy Award winners are one of the most iconic R&B groups in history, with a rich catalog of hits that resonate with fans of all ages.

They've also made a name for themselves as charitable artists. They have a charity called Boyz II Men House, which supports individuals and organizations focusing on improving quality of life and helping unlock human potential.

Boyz II Men was formed in 1989 when Michael Bivins and Ricky Bell joined forces with Ronnie DeVoe and Michael McCary to form a New Edition-inspired spin-off group. The group's cappella style inspired the four members' harmonies and stage routines, but they also sought inspiration from the smooth R&B of Motown.

Their first single, "Motownphilly," was released in October 1991 and was a significant hit. It peaked at number two on the R&B chart and became their first Top Ten pop hit in the United States.

The follow-up album Cooleyhighharmony reached the Top 10 on the R&B chart and was certified gold in the US. It contained the top-rated singles "Motownphilly" and "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday", both of which were number 1 R&B hits.
