PHILADELPHIA -  Philly PR Girl’s 7th annual charity tailgating event, Turkey Day Tailgate, took place on October 30, 2022, before the Eagles vs. Steelers game. Guests experienced the ultimate tailgating event in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence (BBBSI). This year the event raised $6,500 to help the nonprofit continue to deliver mentoring programs that ignite the power and promise of youth in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.

The presenting sponsors for the event were The O’Hara Home Team and Tito's Handmade Vodka. The O’Hara Home Team and Philly PR Girl created this event seven years ago for their friends and family to give back to the community during the season of giving.

“We never thought the event would get this big,” says Kate Marlys, the Owner of Philly PR Girl. “Working with O’Hara Home Team over the last seven years has been so much fun, and giving back to our community is a core principle of both companies.”

Tito’s generously donated to BBBSI and served five custom cocktails at the event. Other sponsors include First Choice Mortgage Advisors, who provided face painting, SQS Square Settlements, Liberty One Wealth Advisors, and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.

Host, the producer, and radio personality, Natalie Egenolf, was back hosting the tailgate this year! DJ Martin also returned and brought music that excited attendees to support the Eagles. Guests also got an early taste of the holidays with Primo Hoagies' signature “Primo Pilgrim” sandwich and must-have Thanksgiving sides, including stuffing, sweet potatoes, and mac and cheese provided by Kay Kay's from South Philly. There was also Rosé from City Winery, HazyIPA from nicethingsBEER, Top Dog Cocktails, and two signature beers from Yards Brewery. For dessert, Saxby’s, Insomnia Cookies, and Manna Bakery provided pastries and cookies for a tailgating treat. Throughout the tailgate, guests could get pick-me-ups with coffee from Saxby’s and energy drinks from Philadelphia Eagle Haason Reddick's energy drink, R7 Energy. Memoriez Photobooth documented the day with its fantastic photo booth setup.

Raffle and auction winners took home fabulous prizes, including Philadelphia Eagles tickets, signed merchandise from the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Union, Museum of Illusions tickets, dinner and a show at City Winery, and so much more! The event wasn’t complete without a spooky twist! Michael Myers himself made a surprise appearance, haunting guests throughout the tailgate. This year’s Turkey Day Tailgate was a total win, bringing around 400 people together to tailgate for good.
