PHILADELPHIA – More than a dozen people have been injured in a crash between two SEPTA buses in Philadelphia’s Rhawnhurst area. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.


Around 12:10 pm on Friday, it happened in the outer lanes southbound of Roosevelt Boulevard near Shelmire Avenue. Philadelphia Police reported that of the 14 injured victims, two were in critical condition at a local hospital, and one was in extremely critical condition.

It was not immediately clear what condition the other victims were in. The police report that one of SEPTA's bus drivers rear-ended the other. Both buses were occupied when the accident occurred.
