PHILADEPHIA PA - On Wednesday, May 5 at 5 p.m., Philadelphia's robust network of arts & culture organizations, both large and small, will be celebrated during The Arts on Center Stage, a brand-new evening cultural series debuting at Dilworth Park.


 

The Philadelphia Orchestra to Perform at Dilworth Park's Brand-New Evening Cultural Series

A percussion trio from The Philadelphia Orchestra will be the first to perform this season, including Don Liuizzi (principal timpani), Christopher Deviney (principal percussion), and Angela Zator Nelson (associate principal timpani). Their set will begin at 5:30 p.m. and include a bongo trio, a djembe duo, and a solo djembe piece.

The Arts on Center Stage will continue every Wednesday evening through August 25. Shows will range from orchestral serenades and ballet ensembles to jazz instrumentals and beyond. Upcoming performances include the Pennsylvania Ballet II, the Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, and Philadelphia's Chamber Orchestra.

In support of local restaurants, guests are encouraged to dine al fresco with takeout meals from nearby eateries.

Cocktails to-go made with Maker's Mark Bourbon, and Michelob Ultra Organic Seltzer will be offered to guests 21 and older. A special menu will be available at the Air Grille.
