CHERRY HILL - BurgerFI a fast-casual burger chain unexpectedly shut its doors after just six months in business in Cherry Hill, NJ. This isn't the first time something like this has transpired.

This news comes as a major setback for those employed by the chain. They had been working diligently to open in a high-end shopping center, yet faced serious staffing challenges right away.

They had incurred construction costs that they couldn't cover, leaving the company financially unstable. In the end, its owners decided to shut down operations.

After experiencing lengthy construction delays due to the pandemic, the restaurant finally opened a few months ago and quickly became popular, though many customers were dissatisfied with both service and food quality. Despite its success, customers continued to line up outside in anticipation of more seats being added.

BurgerFi offers a variety of items in addition to hamburgers, such as chicken sandwiches and tenders, Wagyu beef hot dogs, veggie burgers, fries, onion rings, shakes and frozen custard desserts.
